Playing a sequenced MIDI file; adding a tuning track and a MIDI SysEx.
The Sequencer can be used to:
The Tuning Channel can be any one of 16 MIDI channels that you select in Setup.
When you select the Sequencer from the tool bar, you will see this screen.

The controls of the Sequencer are:
Clicking on the Open file button will bring up a directory window where you can select the Standard MIDI file (.MID) you want to load into the Pitch Palette. If a track named Justonic Tuning does not exist, one will be created to hold:
To save your MIDI file, click the Save button.
Remember that SysEx messages are just that: Exclusive to the synthesizer. Other
synthesizers will probably not recognize the tuning SysEx. When naming your
file, make sure you can identify it with the synth required for playback.
You can drag the scroll box or click on the left or right scroll arrows to move from the beginning to the end of the sequence.
Clicking on the Play button will start the sequence. Clicking the same button again will stop the sequence.
You can expand the sequencer window to show the track names and the MIDI events by clicking on the down arrow button which is on the right hand side of Edit/View.
With the MIDI Events window open; if you open file "Test1.mid", you will see this screen:

The left side of the expanded sequencer window shows a list of all the MIDI tracks in the current MIDI file.
You can mute any track by clicking on the track name in the Track List. If a track has been muted, the track name will be highlighted and the background of the MIDI events in the Event List will be grey.
The right side of the expanded sequencer window lists all of the MIDI events in the MIDI file currently open. The events are sorted according to time, which is shown as Measure:Beat:Tick. The left column shows the track number of each event

Insert
To insert a Tuning Event (Scale, Key or Root):
- click your mouse on the event which is to occur after your tuning change
- then select one of the 3 Insert buttons.
- Scale event, you will be presented with a list of scales from which to choose.
- Key event, a mini piano keyboard will appear on which you can select a Key.
- Root event, a mini piano keyboard will appear on which you can select a Root.
The tuning change you insert will appear in the Event list.
When the file is saved, the appropriate SysEx messages for the currently selected synth are calculated and placed in the file as MIDI SysEx events.
Offset
The Tuning Event you insert will appear this number of ticks before the event you selected. You can change this. The default is -10 ticks.
Edit
Edit any Tuning Change by clicking your mouse on the Tuning Change event in the Event list and then clicking the Edit button.
Delete
Delete any Tuning Change by clicking your mouse on the Tuning Change event in the Event list and then clicking the Delete button.
