Demos
Audio/Video
These demonstrations were made in 1997 using the Justonic customized FM synthesizer that has a tuning resolution of one-hundreth of a cycle per second or 0,01 Hertz. Modern day (2007) commercial synthesizers typically have a tuning resolution of one cent which is equal to one-quarter of a second or 0.25 Hertz at A440.

MIDI Files for
All MIDI Synthesizers
using Pitch Bend tuning method |
|
|
These files are for use with any MIDI synthesizer or sound board. They tune your synthesizer using the MIDI Pitch Bend command.
Because the MIDI Pitch Bend command changes the tuning of channels only, 12 channels will be tuned according to the 12 semitones. These files will change 12 of your MIDI Channels (1 to 8 and 11 to 14) to play the same instrument and the notes have been assigned to their respective channels.
|
This test file plays the note D randomly from eleven of the 50 scales included with the Pitch Palette. It uses the Pitch Bend method so it will work with any MIDI synthesizer or media player.
